IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Week 17
- The grades are posted at Bearfacts! Happy holidays and
enjoy your break!
- Good job on the final exam! Undergraduate median/average was 39,
while graduate median/average was 54!
Week 16
- Please verify that all of your scores
are correct! If you are missing a lab or homework score, please
contact your TA. If your midterm or project grade is incorrect, please
contact Prof. Nikolic.
- Prof Nikolic will hold an extra discussion session on Monday, Dec 9,
5-6pm in the Hogan Room (521 Cory).
- Henry, Dimitrios, and Leland will hold a final review session on
Thursday, January 12 from 7-??PM in the Hogan room (521 Cory). We will
go over a bunch of practice exam problems.
- Leland's office hours cancelled Monday (12/9). Thurs (12/12) 3-4PM
and Mon (12/16) 4-5PM are still on.
- Henry's office hours this week will be Thursday (12/12) 6-7 and Monday
(12/16) 3-4 in 353 Cory.
- Dimitrios' office hours cancelled Monday (12/16), but Monday (12/9)
12-1 is still on.
- Homework 10 solutions
posted. Slight modification in solution to 1b,c. ...typos fixed
in problem 1.
- An updated solution to
a problem on homework 9. Read the note about latch based timing. If you missed
the example given during the TA review on latch based timing, you might want
to see some notes on it.
Week 15
- Homework 10 is not due.

Week 14
- Phase 2 report template.
- Prof. Nikolic will hold a discussion about the project on Monday,
November 25, 5-6pm in Hogan room, 5th floor of Cory.

Week 13
- Midterm 2 solutions posted.
- Hardware lab this week.
- Homework 9 is due Tues,
November 26th at 5 pm.
- Download ~ee141/stim.inc as a framework stimulus/load file for your
phase2 spice deck.
Week 12
- Project phase 2 is posted.
- There is no lab or homework this week.
- Project phase 1 is due on Tuesday Nov. 12. Please turn in both
the paper copy (drop box), and the electronic file.
- There are no discussions, no office hours on Monday Nov. 11 (holiday).
Week 11
- Midterm 2 is on Thursday, November 7, 6-7:30pm in 277 Cory.
- Prof. Nikolic will hold a last minute office hour on Thursday 1-2pm in
570 Cory.
- Review session is on Tuesday, November 5, 6-7:30pm in 277 Cory.
- More time for questions through extra office
hours.
- Slight clarification in problem 2 of Homework 8.

Week 10
- Homework 8 is due on November
5, 5pm. It's short...really.
- Spice extraction works! Make sure that you are using the latest
version of "ext2spice" (located in
/home/ff/ee141/ext2spice). If you are sourcing the class .cshrc file,
then this should all be set up for you already. All source/drain areas
and perimeters will be zero, but the capacitances will be accounted for as
lumped capacitors at each node. Read this
if you're interested in knowing what kind of hack job was done to fix this
problem.
Week 9
- Phase 1 of the project is
posted. Due Tuesday, November 12 at 5pm.
- No labs this week (work on your projects!). Lab 6 due next week.
- Homework 7 is due on Tuesday,
October 29, 5pm. Problem 3 slightly modified/clarified.
Week 8
- No labs this week.

Week 7

Week 3
- There is enough room in the class to accommodate everyone - just find a
lab and discussion session that has empty seats.
- Lab 3 is this week. You must attend one of lab sessions!
- Homework 2 is due on Tuesday, September 17, 5pm.

- We all hope that Hspice licensing issues will be resolved.
