Sr. Circuit Engineer

Responsibilities: Develop in advanced CMOS processes high-speed 10 to 12.5Gbps SerDes transceivers that conform to the CEI11, PCIE3, and SATA3 standards. Responsibilities include architecture trade-off study, and designing all aspects of the transceiver including clocking circuits, equalizers, transmit driver, receive sampler, and clock-data recovery. Emphasis is on low power and low noise design, and design for manufacturing. Other responsibilities include silicon evaluation and debug, layout supervision, design reviews, and documentations.

Requirements: MSEE with 5+ years of experience or Ph.D. with experience in analog / mixed-signal circuit design is required. Design experience in high-speed SerDes transceivers, RF transceivers, and ADC/DAC circuits is highly desirable. Candidate should have a working knowledge of standard IC design tools such as HSPICE and OPUS. Experience with Verilog coding is a strong plus. The position is in the Nortel CDMA RF performance System Design group focusing on technical innovation to ensure excellent over the air performance of the Nortel CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) product lines. Work involves designing and developing concepts and algorithms in the CDMA wireless technology product for various versions of the standard (IS95, IS2000, 1xEV-DO, 1xEV-DV). Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Position Description: As a member of the development team, you will define specifications for mobile station software components that enable indoor voice and data mobile services. You will work with other handset engineers to design and code the Mobile Over Wireless LAN (MoWLAN) handset client. You will interface with leading handset vendors to implement MoWLAN capability on multiple GSM/GPRS and CDMA handsets.

Duties of the Position:

* Assist in definition of mobile station software specifications based on the MoWLAN System Architecture and the MS Functional Specification.

Texas Instruments Design Engineer

Working with a fast-paced, high-energy team of experienced designers, you'll be part of a group with a proven track record of getting working silicon for TI's DSP flagship products. Our team consists of about 50 people who are constantly pushing the limits for state-of-the-art technology.

In this role, you’ll evaluate alternative micro architectures and implement the high-speed logic (greater than 1 GHz), power-conscious designs. Specific responsibilities will include reading architecture specifications, formulating and documenting the micro architectures, implementing the logic in VHDL or Verilog, verifying the functionality, taking the design through synthesis tools, working with physical design engineers to complete the timing closure activities.

 The ideal candidate will have an MSEE or a BSEE with special project or summer experience.  This position requires successful completion of one or more graduate classes in VLSI design.  Also required are graduate studies in Design for Test (DFT) or Computer Architectures, memory-cache architectures in particular.  The successful candidate will be familiar with simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis tools.  Knowledge of power-saving and high-performance logic design techniques is also a plus.
