About me...
I am a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at U.C. Berkeley. I'm
currently studying IC's (integrated circuits), communications, and CAD while working with Prof. Robert W. Brodersen on
what I call the ICMake project.
I'm originally from Columbia, SC, where my parents still live in a house nestled
between what we call Hay Pond and the South 40. I did my Bachelor's at NC
State University in Raleigh, NC, which is a majorly cool town, no matter what the
residents say.
I guess the only other notable thing about me is that I love to play, though sometimes
I forget to. ...and I have an identical twin
brother.
What I fill my time with...
Most of this stuff is about 4 years out-of-date... I'll try to update it soon, but it's
always an uphill battle! The links, however, are updated regularly...

- What is all this talk about chaos these days? And why would any self- respecting
graduate student in EE make it the topic of his research? From the fall of '95 to
the spring of '97, I worked with Prof. Leon O. Chua in the Nonlinear Electronics
Laboratory (NOEL). Follow this link to see more.

- Even though many of my friends shun ray tracing and cringe at phrase "computer
artistry", I love graphics and have been playing at it since my brother and I got our
first TRS-80 Color Computer in the 5th grade. Lately, I've been doing most of my work with
POVRay (the Persistence of Vision Ray Tracer) and Adobe Photoshop. Follow
this link to see more.

- Until recently, I sang bass in the Cal Jazz Choir, a nine-person group which is
part of UCCE (University of California Choral Ensembles). They do music performed by such
groups as Singers Unlimited, Manhattan Transfer, and The Real Group
as well as some more popular music and old jazz favorites. Follow this link to see the
home page!

- Berkeley is a chef's paradise, with international groceries and food specialty shops all
over the place. I live near a part of town known to some as the "gourmet
ghetto". Follow this link to see some of my favorite shops and recipes.
Other very important things...
