Our goal is to build a RF front-end architecture with digitally-assisted active cancellation through an adaptive linear prediction filter and reconstruction D/A converter, to lower the requirement on the high speed A/D. Challenges in this approach include performing analog subtraction in a closed loop with stringent timing constraints. While the active cancellation approach will consume significantly more hardware and is very susceptible to distortions, it offers more flexibility through digital processing.
