Frederick L. Burghardt

Fred is a member of the Berkeley Wireless Research Center research technical staff. 
BWRC is part of the EECS Department at the University of California at Berkeley.

His primary task is support for research into low power wireless design and collaborative architectures, including:

• Connectivity Broker
• Cognitive radio
• Musyc project webmaster (temporary maybe).  Website under construction as of Aug 09.  Project begins 11/1/09.
• General staff support for technical issues.

Fred works with Professor Jan Rabaey

Past projects:

• Home Gateway (Universal Content Router) testbed lead.
  The Universal Content Router
• Project leader for the PicoCube project.
  PicoCube: A 1cm3 Sensor Node Powered by Harvested Energy
  Self Powered Sensor Nodes: Design Challenges and the 1st PicoCube Prototype
• Chief architect of  the PicoRadio Test Bed.
• Network and mobility code designer for the InfoPad project (masters project)
  InfoNet: the Networking Infrastructure of InfoPad
