BEE: A Reconfigurable Emulation
Engine for Digital Signal Processing Hardware
Hayden Kwok-Hay So, M.S. 2000
(advisor: Robert Brodersen)..
The motivation for developing BEE 1
is to provide a hardware emulation platform that can
emulate complex communication algorithm in real time. At the
same time, this emulation engine should accept a very
similar, if not the same, high-level input as the final ASIC design. The
goal is to have a seamless integration of the ASIC design flow and BEE
design flow so that once the
algorithm is tested and verifed in BEE,
little or no effort is needed to build the final ASIC
hardware.
