The main goals of this project are to achieve a better understanding of the Pico Radio network behavior in real life situations and to take the appropriate measurements. To achieve a better understand of the behavior it will be necessary to experiment with test configurations. The goal of these experimentations is to extract performance measures like bit-error rate, packet-loss rate and latency from the Pico Radio I test bed. One way to do this is to extend the existing Statistic/Maintenance Service (SMS). Based on this, adequate improvements and optimizations can be introduced.
